8"x10" Portrait of Tony

30.00

8”x10” hand-drawn portrait of Anthony Bourdain - Giclee fine art print on archival matte paper (the good shit). Each print is wrapped in cellophane and packaged in chipboard to protect the print for shipping. You will receive an email with a tracking number upon shipping.

50% of the proceeds of this print will be donated to the ACLU who are fighting to protect immigrant workers and families in the United States against Trump’s inhumane practices and policies. Tony was an outspoken advocate for the rights, safety and respect of immigrants in American restaurants and I feel this is the best way to honor his memory and legacy. I will be posting my contributions from July 2018 and forward on my Instagram stories.

Thank you.

“Like a lot of other white kids, I rolled out of a prestigious culinary institute and went to work in real restaurants.. I walked into restaurants and the person always who’d been there the longest, who took the time to show me how it was done, was always Mexican or Central American. Never in any of those years, not once, did anyone walk into my restaurant - any American-born kid walk into my restaurant - and say, “I’d like a job as a night porter or as a dishwasher. They are not willing to start at the bottom like that.”

“Immigrants are the backbone of this industry. If Mr. Trump deports 11 million people or whatever he’s talking about right now, every restaurant in America would shut down.”

-Anthony Bourdain
